I purchased one of these twisters through Amazon. It finally arrived following a two-week wait and it is one of the most useless tools I have ever owned in 72 years. The tool is designed to be used on pre-made lengths of wire with a strong loop at each end. It doesn't give this information on Amazon and these pre-made bundles of looped wires are not available anywhere on the internet. After contacting the Boston company that is selling through Amazon I was told that they didn't know how the tool worked. The manufacturer told me to take a pair of Vice Grips and clip them onto the end of a piece of looped wire and then use the twister on the other end, which is a complete waste of time and effort. It is easier and quicker to clip Vice Grips onto both ends of the wire and twist it by hand. DON'T BUY THIS TOOL! It is almost a scam and I would recommend that no one purchases this tool, ever. Without the pre-made wire lengths it is USELESS. I gave it one star only because I couldn't go lower.

I bought this under the belief that it was made for small spaces. It would be great for those "single handed" safeties. THIS IS NOT SMALL OR GOOD IN SMALL SPACES. This would work well as long as you are using .040" wire or larger.

What a waste of money! while this item has a good disign the materials inside are of infirior quality so much so that after an hour of use it did not work anymore and upon disassambly, the mechanism that spins around the shaft, was worn out because it is made of soft aluminun. My advise don't waste your money on this product.

I have not tried this particular twister but it looks very typical of the type and is certainly a very good price. The negative description by the first revue is very misleading. I am also an old git but have been using these pull twisters for 44 years. They were designed for securing wire bag ties but I imagine they are mostly used now by steel fixers.
The point is, if you don't know how they are used it seems likely you will be disappointed.
