Having been a sheetmetal mechanic for 37 years, I know my metal. When I looked at the capturing device/arm that holds the top to the flask, it was obviously too loose to hold the top very long. As I expected, I pushed the top right through it, and the arm broke, with little force. Then I ripped the arm from the flask easily and threw it in the trash.
The top fits perfectly, and has a teflon insert to keep it from leaking. I filled the flask completely with water (no air), screwed the top on with moderate pressure, and squeezed the flask VERY hard. The flask did not leak, and the sides did not dent one iota. I then squeezed it empty. A lot of force will bend the outside of it in, but it bounces right back. Filled it with boiling water three times to clean it, and let it set till it cooed. The heat didn't hurt the teflon top at all. Filled it with bottled water and let it set in the frige overnight. The water had no metal taste whatsoever.
This thing fits in the back pocket of my jeans perfectly. If you don't mind having a flask with a non-captured top, this one is perfect in every way. I'll be using it daily.

Can't beat the price, shipping was fast, items were perfect. Each item was light but the metal was sturdy and will take a beating - lids are secured with metal clamps...only trouble is they should arrive with a funnel cuz the opening is small! I customized with some personal stickers and gave them to my three favorite girls for Easter. I know - a flask for Easter? They're not drunks but it's a novelty for the three that just turned 21.

I bought this flask based on other reviews and have used it for about three different outings. Following another reviewer's advice, I pour boiling water in it a couple of times and let regular water sit in it overnight and I have not noticed any taste to the whiskey I have put in it.
It seems durable to me and the size is right.

Having read the other reviews I too was a little skeptical, but the extremely low price got the best of me. I'm certainly glad I did. The first thing I did after opening the package was fill it and check for leaks. It is exactly as described and has no problems of any kind. Further it is well made. There are no scratches or other signs of shoddy manufacture practices. The cap seals very tight and the little mechanism that holds the cap is very sturdy. The IS a real steal of a deal. I'm going to buy 2 more as gifts to friends for Christmas.

I filled this with hydrogen peroxide and packed it in a professional makeup case. I thought I had checked it carefully enough for leakage prior to setting it sideways inside the case...so I was a bit surprised to find it almost empty a few weeks later when I needed to open up the makeup case. It's cute for set/stage design and if you want to stand it upright, but don't think you can pack it sideways in luggage. Might not work out for you...
