The lenses come standard with hard coating to resist scratching. These lenses provide 99.9% UVA and UVB protection. These meet or exceed all ANSI Z87.1 and CSA Z94.3 requirements. The lens is amber which has light gathering properties making them ideal for low light environments in which contrast is low. The color highlights and defines by blocking out much of the blue light and allows about 84% visible light transmission. perfect Mar 23, 2011
By Dr. Zoom i'm a courier that drives a truck on a delivery route all day. i live in Upstate, NY where its always gray and rainy. been looking for a pair of shooting lens glasses for awhile to improve my vision on the route. tried several pair. often the lenses were too dark or the frames uncomfortable. then i ordered this pair! perfect! these lenses filter the light into my eyes and brighten my view. i can see clearly even on a rainy day. they're light,comfortable, and durable. i've dropped them several times and they never scratch. i ordered 3 pair. cheap too. these will prevent those hazy weather headaches from long hours of driving on a gray day. they are NOT sunglasses. theyre no good when the sun comes out, and they aren't intended for that. but they do provide UV protection. i highly recommend them.
