By K. F. Luke Bought it to thread both ends of one piece of 1/4 inch pipe. Does not work, period!! No matter what I tried, cutter would not engage pipe end to cut thread. Procrastinated about sending it back to Amazon (they are excellent about standing behind what they sell), but decided my choice was "cheap" and junk is what I got.

By Dan K Comes in a metal box, parts fit loose My box was damaged (bent) and latch damaged I tried to use the 1/4" die on sch 40 pipe I could not get it started, I ground a taper on it and still could not start it Finally I switched the 3/8 die to the 1/4 ( both same size 18 tpi) I did get it to work Threads did not seem right so I had a round fixed die and chased the threads Seemed like the threads were cut to deep Also the dies are hard to install, they use a large C clip (not a quick release) and my tool would not fit it
