 Bearing Removal Made Easy Jan 21, 2012

I purchased both the Neiko Rear Wheel Bearing Puller Set, and this Neiko Slide Hammer to aid the the rebuilding of the differential on my 2002 Ford Explorer Sport. The bearing puller fits perfectly in many sizes of bearings, and screws onto the Neiko slide hammer. It takes only 5-6 hits with the slide hammer to remove each bearing. This is a heavy duty, professional grade slide hammer, and using it one time will convince you that it is a good investment. Neiko makes very high quality tools, at a very reasonable price.

Pros:
Low cost slide hammer with almost every attachment you can think of. Case keeps it all organized.
Cons: Comes with only one thread set for pulling threaded holes (pull dowels). Others can easily be added by purchasing bolts and washers of appropriate size from your hardware store. Professional pullers often have a coupler slot for the threaded pullers. You must remove a nut cap to install the bolt. Not terribly convenient.
Conclusions: For occasional use, it is great and I'm glad I bought it. If I were using it every day, I'd get a high priced set.

Nice set, But I feel I was mislead to beleive this was made in the USA. It isn't, it comes from Tiawan
