Great value Dec 30, 2011
By Don Henley I have a hobby woodworking shop and have my grinder set up on a wall next to my lathe to sharpen turning tools. I also make knives. Changing my grinding wheels to buffing wheels was a hassel so when I saw the price on this buffer I thought I would give it a try. Ot appears to be a quality product, smooth running, well packaged, prompt delivery. Much more than I expected for the price.

Nice Product with some reservations... Mar 10, 2012
By Vandy12 Looks solid and seems like nice piece of equipment. Unfortunately, you cannot change the polishing speed. I tried to figure this out before I bought it, and in the picture it looks like the switch on the front might be a speed control. It is not--it is an on/off switch. It has one speed: fast. The instructions are useless. They call this a "grinder" but it is really a buffer. Not really sure if you can put "grinding" stones on it or not. The instructions are mostly safety warnings with very little informative content. The photo in the inside page is a photo of a completely different "grinder" with eye protection shields, wheel cover, etc...none of which this item has. Can you put a grinding wheel on one side and polishing wheel on the other? Or two grinding wheels? Not sure. Probably not--since the basic idea with this machine setup is polishing, even though as you can see it is called a bench "grinder" buffer in the title. Don't really think it is a grinder at all. Very basic machine. You turn it on, it flies 100 MPH. I was thinking about polishing knives on this machine, but it would have to move much, much slower to do that and again, no way to adjust the speed. Lastly, who makes Neiko tools? You can't email them and ask them a question if you can't find them. Searched and searched--nothing found. Probably China.
Good product Mar 12, 2012
By Marcel C. Fromond This is a great item that delivers what it is supposed to do. An adjustable speed would be a great option. Too bad it is not available. The long shaft leaves you with enough room to work without too much vibration.
I'd buy it again.
