 Love the spray gun... but.... May 12, 2010

I love this spray gun, got a chance to try it last night and it provided even coatings all around, and the nickel plating on the outside works great... If I get some paint on it, I can just clean it right off. Also love the pressure gauge attachment, definitely makes this product worth having... That plus the price is phenomenal!!! I had no issues cleaning this I always either use Acetone, or (if I'm out of Acetone) Carburetor cleaner.
But!
I will say, This company received my billing info on the 27th of March, but I didn't receive it until today (May 12th). They decided without notifying me that they were going to reschedule my shipping date. Normally not a problem, but it set me back almost a month on a particular project. They have however offered to reimburse my shipping amount, so that pretty much redeems them in my book :D

Bought this spray gun for automotive urethane primer. For the low price I was a little skeptical whether it would work. The construction is very good, way better than you would expect. Not like a high dollar gun but still very good. I wanted to take it apart before using it and found most assembled fittings were glued together but was still able to disassemble. There was a somewhat flaky seal inside you should be careful with if you decide to completely disassemble. Areas that would need cleaning though were not glued and could easily be cleaned. The gun sprayed primer very well once the right mixture of paint and gun settings were established. The only thing I would like better is being able to get a slightly wider spray pattern. The cover on the (included) regulator spring (opposite the knob)cracked because of a poor design (material was too thin) but I was able to fix with epoxy. Overall I am very pleased with the gun and would buy another. I am going to try it on my urethane top coat soon. It should work fine except maybe for the narrowish spray pattern (seems to be about 5" wide, 8" would be better). I'm using only a 2hp/20 gal tank compressor and it seems to keep up for primer but may not for continuous spraying required for a good topcoat.

I have used a number of different spraying guns in my lifetime, but I like this one the best. It was light enough to handle easily. Since the paint path is short - it was easy to clean up. I have had similar paint guns with plastic resersoirs - but they seemed to crack and leak after time. That is one of the reasons for purchasing this gun. Overall - I believe it was a great gun for the price. Only down side - the instructions are a little crude - but if you have done any painting in the past, it will be easy to use.

I'm using this gun to apply tire dressing to tires and wheel wells for my mobile detailing business. It's been working great and applies even/thin coats of dressing, well worth the money, works great!

I just finished painting an entire car, after purchasing this spray gun a month ago. It's a fine instrument in this layman's opinion. All the controls are effective, the paint disperses evenly, and the whole device is easier to clean than other HVLP guns I've owned. Well worth the money.
