True Grit... gets you started on stone polishing Feb 24, 2012
By uktravailer I picked up a tumbler second hand for a few bucks and bought this grit to give it a try. The grit works well and we ended up with some decent looking polished stones by following the simple instructions. I would point out though that there's not a huge amount of grit here. This is a great starter pack but if I was going to continue polishing stones in any quantity I would advise buying larger quantities of each grade from the same supplier rather than repeatedly buying this pack.

By fw The rock tumbler worked great. It is far sturdier than what you often find in local hobby and discount stores. We really enjoyed taking our plain rocks that we collected while on vacation and turning them into something really neat. We will collect rocks on all our family vacations, and enjoy the process of creating our own souvenirs.
