Energizer 379 Silver Oxide Watch Battery - Great Price; Free Shipping; No Tax; Timely Delivery Feb 07, 2011
By Joseph Smith I purchased the Energizer 379 battery to replace the Renata 379 battery that was originally installed by the watch manufacturer in two of my daughter's Fossil watches (model numbers ES-9525 and ES-1001). I also replaced the Energizer 379 battery (I do not think Energizer was initially installed by the manufacturer) in my daughter's Relic model number ZR33503 watch with a fresh Energizer 379 battery. The energizer battery has a three (3) year shelf life based on the date of manufacturer. The two-position manufacturer date (usually alpha characters) is printed on the packaging. You can call Energizer Customer Service at 800-383-7323, M-F, 7:00AM-6:OOPM CST and they will give you the month and year the battery was manufactured based on the two-position code you give them. For example, code "JC" meant the batteries I received in January 2011 were manufactured in October 2010. Manufacturer Codes are randomly assigned so you must call Energizer for the battery manufacture date. Tip: To preserve battery life, disengage the battery by pulling out the watch stem when watch is not in use. NOTE for Fossil watch owners: After speaking with a Fossil watch service center, I decided to replace the battery in my daughter's Fossil watches rather than paying $10.00 to have a service center do it. Granted, it may void the warranty. And, the back cover gasket may not seal/re-seal as well as it would if the Fossil service center were to perform the task, but I feel it will seal well enough to provide many more years of satisfactory service. Keep the "original" battery and re-install it in the watch if you must send it to Fossil for warranty repair. There are some Fossil watches such model number ES-9825 that you can not easily remove the back cover and battery replacement must be performed by a Fossil service center.

Vendor is really fast Sep 07, 2008

"panamakay"
and these arrived just as advertised. Beats the $4 to $5 each at Walmart or jewelry store to have your battery changed

Hard to Find Battery Aug 11, 2011
By L. Thompson I checked many stores before going to Amazon.com to search for this battery. At Amazon.com, I was able to purchase a pack of 5 batteries for less than the price that I typically pay for 1 battery for other watch batteries, in stores. They arrived very quickly too!
Battery Apr 17, 2012
By E. Spruill I needed a replacement battery and for the price these were perfect. Came in on time and no issues. I have enough batteries to last a long time.
Excellent batteries Feb 29, 2012
By TaoistPooh I have had a Swiss-made watch that I've used for many years now, and this battery will last a little over six months. The quartz movement doesn't require as much energy, but even so, this battery is great for its purpose. I'm not sure how it'll fare in other uses, but my watch has a slim profile and a simple quartz movement, and this battery gets the job done. I also like the fact that it's sold in 5's, but I usually lose a few of them; so I'm not sure how long they would last when not used, particularly since I only replace the batteries every six months or so in my watch.
