OUCH! Apr 28, 2010
By golfnutx2 I bought this because I have a cat w/hypertrophic cardio myopathy and I need to make sure his heart rate doesn't suddenly rise to 240+ bpm. I was excited about getting this but what a let-down. (1) the ear inserts HURT, really hurt and if you try moving them to adjust placement it makes it even worse; and (2) you can barely hear the heartbeat, even when he's not purring. I realize @ the price listed it wasn't going to be the best but this is just not worth the $. I use it, but it takes a while to even hear the beats, and it is definitely trial and error. Spend more and get something functional.
