Perfect size Dec 09, 2008 By Marty Watson "Never late for supper"
This item was as nice as I had hoped and better than I expected. I have a utility trailer and this net is perfect for loads that are difficult to tie in place with twine or straps. I sometimes carry a dozen trash cans to the dumpster and without the net, I sometimes lose can lids and garbage on the way. This is my third large net in 4 years and it is the heaviest. If there is a problem or flaw it would be with the hook design. This is a nightmare to unhook all the hooks from the net itself and spread out over the load. So from past experience with different nets, I had hooks welded to my trailer every 1.5 feet around it. I just remover all the plastic hooks, spread like a blanket on the trailer and start hooking. Much easier.

I have to admit that I liked this net at first. I purchased mine in February of 2009 for my 8' bed truck, which it fit pretty well. It is wide and long enough to stretch over a lot of cargo and the hooks could be maneuvered to inner rows for smaller loads. I liked that the size of the gaps are consistent unlike some cargo nets that are narrower in the center but have large gaps at the corners.

However, over the course of a year, the plastic hooks regularly broke, one by one. It was very frustrating. The final straw, however, was when the net pretty much disintegrated. It was just over a year old. I like it when things last. This didn't.

We used this cargo new over our 5x10' open trailer on a 2,000 mile trip. It really helped. First we tarped the load by attaching the tarp with bungees, then we securely attached the cargo net over it. The net prevented the tarp from coming loose. It was a good thing, because between the sleet and snow, the cabinets we were hauling would have been ruined. Thanks to the netted tarp, the load remained completely dry - even after we left it outside for a week.

I've got an import pickup and a Dodge Ram 3500 with an 8 ft. bed. This net fits them both and works great.

Great product, I drove 1,000 miles at 70 mph and not one item shifted during the trip. I placed the net over a plastic tarp which covered the furniture, etc. and everything was in the original place at my destination. Extremely easy to use and remove. A must buy if you are looking for fantastic results.
