I bought this item based on the beautiful picture and the rave reviews. This looks like an item from the dollar store and it's already broke, the corner must have been pressed during the mail processing. The "lock" that holds the lid closed are snaps. The separator compartments are the same type of plastic that separates the candy in a box of assorted chocolates, only this has that cheap "velvet" over it. Very disappointed! I couldn't see anyone paying the approximate $20 that I paid for it.

A COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT Feb 10, 2011

What a complete disappointment. Photo and description imply a sturdy box that could even be used as a display case. MSRP of $69 implies it is well built. What arrived was an import (cheap Chinese) quality plastic box. This could not have cost $2 to make. It is flimsy, made of thin plastic, is not even soft inside, and is poorly crafted. There is a huge gap between the lid and pockets so contents can shift very easily. My advice is to run (not walk) away from this product. It is a complete disappointment and, in my opinion, very misleading! I am going to return it!

i just got this in the mail today and am definitely not pleased with the product, which i purchased to hold pendants. first of all, the description for this product flat-out lies. it says it locks and it doesn't (another reviewer said this; i didn't need a lock so i didn't care but i just want to confirm that this is true). it also says that the design is "sturdy" - the case is made of a cheap black plastic that is super thin (maybe four times the thickness of a water bottle), and the clear plastic window is even thinner (you can actually bend it back and fourth). and to top it all off, the case arrived with many scratches on the clear window. i am sending this back to amazon tomorrow morning; thin, scratched plastic is not the first impression i want my customers to have when they look at my pendants!

I liked the idea of the product-an easy way to see your earrings. No size was given, but those who had ordered seemed to like it with the exception of one. The product arrived and was far less than I expected. The plastic cover was somewhat scratched, the rest was cheaply made. I wouldn't pay more than $7 for it if seen in person.

It says it will hold 32 earrings but the spaces are large and it will hold more. I'm very pleased wtih it. I give it a thumb's up!
