bits for most medium size things, no driver, it's good enough Jun 25, 2006
By Aaron L. Peterson This bit box has standard hex socket bits, that fits most adaptable screw drivers. It says it has a driver, but I have no idea how to use it.
It has the bits for:
Nintendo products, (3 prong Phillips)
Xbox (torx 10 and 20)
It does not have the bits for:
cell phones, ( torx 6) (torq is not torx and 6mm is not a "6")
Because these are bits, they need to be attached to a wider handle. They won't go into narrow holes! You should examine the depth, and width of the screw holes before purchasing this, or you might be disappointed. That said, the bits were of sufficient depth to fit into my Nintendo DS. It did what I bought it for, but it's not quite as versatile as I thought it would be. 4 stars
The 100pc name is a bit unfortunate, as there are not 100 different pieces. There are a lot of triplicates of standard Phillips bits, and some Phillips like one that have 4 extra points are duplicated in excess. So, it's more like a 90 piece set.. It has the hardware required to attach bits to a drill motor. I could not figure out how to get the "wing nut" driver to work. You will need your own bit taking screw driver handle. 3 stars on name and description of the unit.
The case is sufficient for normal storage. A few bits were loose on arrival, but I haven't had any of them fall out with normal handling, everything is well organized, and it is compact. so I give the case 5 stars.
Cost, after 30 minutes of searching on the Internet, this was the cheapest way for me to get the bulk of the bits that I needed. 5 stars.
Overall score, is just over 4 stars. I'm glad I bought it, I might have been able to do better, but it just ain't worth the trouble. I don't plan to use these often. This filled my need, and was priced right.

Poor machining, poor metallurgy, went in the trash Apr 22, 2010
By Walt Brubaker I needed a single bit, a security Torx bit but I ordered this 100-piece security bit set. What a mistake! The center holes for the Torx security bits are drilled off-center, the edges of the Torx bits aren't indented enough. In fact, they look more like hex bits than Torx. In case I was crazy, I compared these bits to a set I bought from Home Depot (not security bits, regular Torx) and there was no comparison. The Home Depot set was crisp, sharp metal, well machined. This is cheap, soft metal, poorly machined. Don't waste your money. I'd get a refund except the return shipment costs more than I'd get.

Decent for the price Jan 27, 2009
By B. Fay Bought these bits to work on my xbox controller, but realized afterwards that the recess of some of the screws was too deep for the short bit to get into. That's not this sets fault though, just sort of a characteristic of hex ended bits.
That being said, this kit comes with a large variety of bits, but isn't the highest quality. On some of the larger bits this becomes obvious - the hole drilled through the top of my large security torx bits is not very centered at all, and I doubt it would work on the screw it's intended for. Other bits have bent shafts to them.
For the price, however, still not a bad purchase.

security bits are not in every store you shop Jul 26, 2008
By Larry W. Hicks I looked for these bits in all the stores where I live and no one carries them. Thanks to Amazon I had what I was looking for in a matter of a couple days. The bits worked just fine for the job I was on. Thanks again.

The bits seem alright, but don't expect much from the case Mar 21, 2011

The bits are ok based on the few I've used, however the case is horrible. You need to keep a foam pad inside to keep the bits from falling all over the place, yet the bits impale the foam which means you have to carefully poke them back out when you open it. Very annoying, but I have been able to live with it.
